Blindness To The Kingdom Of God

There are some stark differences between believers and unbelievers that cannot be perceived by either unbelievers or underdeveloped believers. The differences can be difficult to perceive because the believers often still have difficulties in their lives. Their difficulties might be called persecution, chastisement or trials that God puts in their lives to help them grow. Also God gives many blessings to unbelievers. The sun still shines on them and the rain that falls still benefits them. The more a believer studies his Bible and associates with other mature believers the more he will be able to perceive those differences. The more changes He permits the Lord to make in his person and in his life the more he will be able to perceive and enjoy them.

Mark 4:11-12: And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 13:15b: . . . the way of transgressors is hard.

Matthew 11:28-30: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Psalms 32:10-11: Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. 11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Romans 2:7-10: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Jeremiah 17:7: Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Jeremiah 17:5: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

The way to be born again (John 3:3 above) and receive spiritual perception is to receive Jesus into one*s heart and life and become a child of God, which means the same thing as being born again.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I am so glad that I received Jesus and that He has given me a measure of spiritual perception. I am also glad that He increases that perception as I study the Bible and as He exposes me to many other faithful believers whose persons and lives He has transformed. For the most part I have met those transformed individuals in the Biblical churches I have attended and in the times, places and circumstances where I have served Him. Since I became a believer, in the times when I have neglected the Bible, hurch and/or serving the Lord, I too have lacked spiritual perception. I know whereof I write because I have been an unbeliever who totally lacked spiritual perception and I have been an underdeveloped believer with very limited spiritual perception. I leave it to you to examine me and what I write to determine if I now have spiritual perception.
